Everyone Has a Story: Shauna Schlender

October 23, 2015 12:31 am

This month we invited Shauna Schlender to join us on the Today Show to share her encouraging and inspirational story about batting breast cancer. She opened up about trying to stay positive, and says it could have not been possible without the help of all of her friends and family, including her husband and 2-year-old daughter, whom have helped her stay grateful for her many blessings.

Shauna was diagnosed earlier this year, and has had a mastectomy, eight rounds of chemotherapy, and is now undergoing radiation treatment. Fortunately, she has received a good prognosis from her doctor, and along with her unbelievable strength and faith she managed to serve as her sister’s maid of honor in August.
