Judy's Seven Layer Salad
1 head lettuce (torn into bite size pcs.)
1 bunch broccoli (bite size pcs.)
1 can peas (drained)
1 can sliced water chestnuts (drained)
1 jar bacon bits (I use the Hormel brand)
4 boiled eggs (sliced)
Dressing
1 envelope Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing MIx (1 oz. size)
1/2 to 3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 container sour cream (8 oz. size)
Layer each of the first 5 ingredients. Begin with the lettuce, broccoli, peas, bacon bits, water chestnuts, and eggs. Mix the dressing and pour on top. This salad is best if fixed a day ahead of time and left to chill in the fridge until ready to serve.
