Hey Everybody!

It's hard to believe that it's been 8 years since I announced that I would be leaving “Live with Regis & Kathie Lee”. As difficult as that decision was at the time, I had no doubt it was the right one and it was the right time to make such a change in my life.

The years since have been rich, challenging and incredibly rewarding. I wouldn't have missed a moment and I find myself today a woman more engaged than ever with the life I have chosen.

But there hasn't been a day that someone hasn't asked me, “Do you miss TV? Will you ever come back?” I've always answered the same way: “Maybe, if the right thing comes along.”

Well, the right thing has come along and I'm delighted to tell you that I've agreed to join the Today Show as co-host of the 10:00am hour.

The Today Show is the crown jewel of morning television and has been for decades. I'm deeply honored that NBC has asked me to join their talented family, many of whom have been friends of mine for years.

I will be hosting the hour with Hoda Kotb and I couldn't be more pleased. She is warm, funny, smart and really interested in all the things that I am that affect our lives and the lives of the people we love.

I'm looking forward to once again having the opportunity to see you in person on the Plaza at Rockefeller Center and to share with you on a daily basis so much of what is going on in the world.

My family agrees that this is the right time to return to TV and the Today Show is the right program.

I hope you're as excited as I am and I hope you'll tune in each day to watch. Who knows what might happen?
