Hi Everybody,
Well, it's officially a few days before the insanity ends and I hope you're all surviving. I hope you're all actually finding some joy among the tinsel and some peace amidst the chaos.
I find as I grow older I like the holidays less and less. It's just harder to find meaning in it all. Cassidy mentioned my lack of enthusiasm last night and I responded, Oh, Honey, I love the first Christmas-it's the recent ones I'm not crazy about.
She laughed and even agreed. She's not that into what's under the tree anymore either.
I look back with great gratitude on the previous year. My family is safe, healthy, and for the most part, happy. Most of my bones still work and I'm writing material that challenges and inspires me.
I want to encourage you all to see the movie, BELLA, if you get a chance-very moving and worthwhile.
Well, we're off someplace sunny and I can't say when I'll be back-hopefully in time to see the azaleas bloom.
Merry Christmas, Everyone!
Love,
Kathie Lee
P.S. Peace-and many thanks to all the brave men and women guarding our freedoms as we enjoy them.
May God Bless them, Everyone.
