Could you tell us a little about how Gentle Grace came about?

Kathie Lee
Some wonderful people at Maranatha records contacted me about a year and a half ago and asked me to do my first inspirational album in 25 years. It seemed like the right time.

how has Gentle Grace changed you? I look forward to getting a copy!

It hasn't changed me because all the songs are reflective of what's already happened to me and in my life but it's lovely to have this pool of music to share with people

I am watchng American Idol right now, What do think of that show and Clay Aiken? You should do a duet with him!

That's the one show I actually do get to see once in a while with my daughter. It's very smart television in that it's very entertaining but I am always disturbed by the humiliation aspect. I don't like to see people degraded.

I heard you say on Larry King, that you saw The Passion, in your home what were your thoughts on the movie?

I thought the movie was technically brilliant and spiritually astounding.

What factors played into your song choices...and how different was it to do an inspirational album?

Kathie Lee
I co-wrote 7 original songs for the record with my friend Phil Sillas. The other songs are praise worship that are already popular in our culture. Oh, and one old hymn that I especially loved all my life, "He Giveth More Grace."

Did you get to meet President and Mrs. Bush yet?

Not the current President and Mrs. Bush but the former Bush's yes, on many occasions and found them to be lovely.

Not on the Today Show but some other appearances. I hate to cut songs down to fit tight show schedules!

The last song on the record is about my Dad. It is a reprise of the first song, We Can Depend On His Word. Also, The Measure of My life.

It seemed like a wonderful opportunity and a chance to design something fresh. It's also another opportunity to support our charity.

Nobody lived a more fascinating life than Aimee. I've been intrigued by her for 30 years.

The Family Under The Bridge is based on the 1958 Newbery Award winning book. Cassidy and I read it and we were enchanted. It too will premiere in Dallas early in December.

I don't have time to watch much but the news. But what I know of him, I like very much. Mickey has the hots for him. She thinks he's luscious.

I've never really considered that. It must be the spirit. I wrote 3 yesterday during a downpour!

Every individual is different. Cody did not want to see it but Cassidy did sit bravely through it. It' s a very personal decision.

I pray for our President and our leaders and our soldiers every day. As believers we know that there will never be real peace in this world and yet we are supposed to be peace makers. Personally I believe that until the Prince of Peace lives in a human heart there is very little hope.
