Tuesday's Children, a nonprofit family service organization founded by family and friends of 9/11 victims, has made an eighteen year commitment dedicated to the needs of every child who lost a parent on 9/11. Working in tandem with recognized leaders in the fields of child development, family advocacy, crisis counseling and mentoring initiatives, Tuesday's Children has developed an innovative platform of programs based on family community interaction which focus on the realization of full potential today and tomorrow.

Programs
Special Event Resources provides donated tickets to sporting and cultural events throughout the metropolitan area, bringing families and children out of their homes, taking the focus temporarily off grief and facilitating the healing process.

Family Support Network provides an ongoing series of community-based group events that build bridges between families and their communities, and create a platform for family advocacy groups to provide crucial counseling and support.

Children's Mentoring Program is the centerpiece of Tuesday's Children's efforts. Through mentoring, positive role models help keep children on course toward realizing their full potential.

Creative Insight-Taking the Next Step is a ten week goal-oriented program, asset-based workshop developed for Tuesday's Children in tandem with Stanford University. These unique courses provide innovative life management tools and life coaching to help surviving parents successfully take 'the next step' in the healing process.

Giant Steps Self Discovery programs are specifically designed to engage the interest of the 9/11 teenage group. Programs are structured around interactive athletic and arts based activities, which provide a forum for creative expression as a means of alternative therapy.

Career Paths Internship and Apprentice Network gives kids an introduction to the corporate and union community through summer internships.
