Sara's Hope Foundation was created in loving memory of Sara Elizabeth Rojas, who, at the young age of 17, was killed in a car accident, on December 5, 2002. Sara will be alive in her mother's heart forever and will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her zest for life and her willingness to help anyone who needed it.

"It's A Wonderful World" Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organization, hopes to touch and inspire the youth in the high desert community and to not only help those in need but also, to educate the community, students and parents alike, about the seriousness of automobile safety.

A message from Sara's mother: "My Daughter, Sara Elizabeth Rojas, was born on May 18, 1985. Sara weighed 8 lbs. 4 ounces when she was born and 21 1/2 inches long. Born at 8:15 pm,it was the best day of my life. I was only 17 when I had Sara so things were quite difficult at times, but Sara and I grew together, cried together, laughed together...... we made it through together. God completely blessed my life when He gave me Sara. When I think of me, I think of Sara-Sara was me. She was my soul, my heart, my laughter, my joy and she will always be.

Sara and I always appreciated the hard times we went through, they made us stronger. They made our bond as mother and daughter unbreakable. When I saw the beautiful young lady Sara grew up to be, I was so proud. She overcame all the trials in her life and never gave up, never gave in to lifes' challenges. She saw challenges not as road blocks but temporary "obstacle courses". She always found a way past those obstacles. I don't think anyone can remember Sara and not remember her beautiful smile and her joyful laughter. .

On Dec.5, 2002, the day I lost Sara to this world, my heart and soul were taken too. This world truly lost a wonderful, caring beautiful young lady! My life will never be the same without Sara. There is never one moment of any day that I don't ache for her presence. People tell me that time will heal my hurt. I tell them to look up the word "heal" in the dictionary. It says-"To make whole once again." I will never be whole again. But, I will remember and treasure the 17 glorious years I had with my daughter. I will look to Heaven and know that I will see my daughter again."
