Give Kids The World is a non-profit organization which exists only to fulfill the wishes of all children with life-threatening illnesses and their families from around the world to experience a memorable, joyful, cost-free visit to the Central Florida attractions and to enjoy the magic of the Give Kids The World Village for as long as there is a need.

History. . .
The foundation began in 1986 when Henri Landwirth, a successful hotelier, was asked to provide accommodations for a dying child who wanted to meet Mickey Mouse.  Unfortunately the child died before the wish-granting foundation could secure the many travel and other arrangements, arrangements which took up to two months to make.  As a result of this tragedy, Henri called on the support and involvement of his friends and business associates and started Give Kids The World.  Now children can be brought to our Village within 24 hours when necessary.

It Begins With A Wish. . .
More than 300 wish-granting foundations, hospitals, hospices, and other service organizations throughout the United States and 45 countries around the world depend on us.  These organizations identify the children and provide round-trip transportation to Orlando.  Give Kids The World completes the experience by providing lodging at our 51-acre Village, meals, attraction tickets and much, much more.  In the past thirteen years we have helped dreams come true for thousands of families.

The Dream Vacation. . .
Give Kids The World wraps its warmth and love around Wish Families as soon as they arrive.  As families step off the plane, they receive greetings from Give Kids The World volunteers and an escort to the Village, their home away from home for the next six days. The Village is a special retreat from a world of doctors, hospitals, and medical treatments. Once at the Village children are lavished with hugs and smiles from their favorite characters and are treated to daily entertainment and gifts. In this magical Village, clocks talk, Christmas is celebrated every week, and ice cream is served every day.
