Mission Statement
Casey Cares Foundation is committed to enriching the lives of children with critical illnesses by providing family-based recreational and supportive programs.
Facts to Know
What is the Casey Cares Foundation?
Casey Cares is a non profit organization that provides recreational and supportive programs to critically ill children and their families.
How did it begin?
Casey Cares was established in June of 2000 by Casey Baynes. Casey Cares Foundation is based in Baltimore, Maryland and is governed by our Board of Directors.
How many programs are offered to children?
There are two programs that are available to children and their families. The Family Festivities Program and the Celebration Vacation Program. These programs offer families an opportunity to relax and spend time together. Whenever possible, activities are enhanced by providing extras such as refreshments or parking passes. Our goal is to make the activities as affordable as possible.
How do children qualify for the programs?
Critically ill children 18 and under are eligible to participate. Our programs are also available for children with chronic illnesses who require frequent medical attention and hospitalizations. The application is reviewed with the child's physician before eligibility is determined.
Are children eligible if they participate in programs with a similar organization?
Yes, children are encouraged to participate in Casey Cares programs.
How is Casey Cares funded?
Casey Cares is funded through in kind donations, fundraising, private donations, corporate sponsors and foundation grants. Casey Cares does not seek donations through telephone or door to door solicitation.
Are my contributions tax deductible?
Yes. Casey Cares Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization and contributions of gifts are tax deductible as allowed by law. We provide receipts for all donations. If the donation is in honor or in memory of someone, please include their name and address. We will inform them of your donation. |
