BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUNDS
One Regency Drive
Bloomfield, CT 06002

E-mail: jjohnson@boundlessplaygrounds.org

BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUNDS provides support every step of the way in such crucial areas as project management, universal play environment design, community partnership, volunteer recruitment, community relations, promotion and fund raising. BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUNDS then creates conceptual and equipment-specific play environment designs after identifying project priorities with stakeholders in each community. The organization also coordinates with local landscape architects, engineers and other professionals who provide local project services for a fee or on a pro-bono basis.

There is a program fee associated with the services we provide after initial consultations, depending on what is actually requested of us. Typically, the cost for direct services from BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUNDS are on a sliding scale, this usually translates to 5-20% of the total project budget, based on the scope of the project and the services provided.

There are three ways to work with BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUNDS:

1. Pay a program fee to cover the costs of BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUNDS services.
2. Use BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUNDS technical assistance grant template to apply to foundations and potential sponsors that you may be able to interest in funding the important services BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUNDS provides.
3. Apply for a limited number of foundation grants that are available to communities that meet certain geographic, economic or other criteria to defray or fund program fees associated with Boundless Playgrounds services. (Please inquire to see if your project is eligible.)

The team of BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUNDS professionals and technical experts guide each playground committee/group/client through every stage of their playground project, including:

* Conducting a "Values and Outcomes" playground planning session with each project team in order to build consensus, define priorities and keep the project on track.
* Developing a priority matrix for each project that clearly defines project objectives, drives the process forward and makes certain that expectations are understood and met.
BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUNDS helps make dreams come true in the design of each project, including:

* Assisting in the creation of "Dreaming and Design Parties" where children of all abilities can share their ideas for play equipment and their dreams about their new playground.
* Working with each community to conceptually design a playground that reflects their vision and values, is fully integrated, universally accessible and developmentally appropriate, and maximizes budget dollars.
* Teaching each project team how to research playground producers/builders and draft requests for proposals (RFPs) in addition to assisting with assessment of RFP responses.
* Producing an equipment-specific playground design
* Helping the selected manufacturer finalize designs that meet the needs of children with and without disabilities in each community and BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUNDS criteria.

BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUNDS provides coaching on project and organizational management, including:

* Project management, budget planning and committee development;
* Community organizing, recruiting community, civic and corporate partnerships, team building, volunteer recruitment, and material procurement.
* Developing working relationships and partners for on-going playground maintenance.

BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUNDS can also provide coaching on how to raise money, create awareness and build enthusiasm by:

* Assisting, as needed, with public relations efforts and media strategies;
* Building community awareness and education programs;
* Guiding fund raising volunteer leaders on researching and writing grant proposals, if needed.
* Suggesting fund raising strategies including ideas for sources locally, regionally and nationally.
