"To facilitate access to healthcare by arranging and providing free air transportation in private aircraft by volunteer pilots."
- Angel Flight Northeast is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), tax-exempt organization that provides air transportation in private aircraft by volunteer pilots so that children and adults may access life saving medical care throughout the United States completely free of charge.
- 47% of our patients are children suffering from life threatening cancer, severe burns or who have crippling diseases.
- Often times, we are the patient's last resort enabling them to fly to respected medical facilities offering new and or experimental treatment.
- Service is provided for medically stable and ambulatory patients and their families.
- Emergency flights are reserved for persons who need to visit critically ill or injured family members, patients needing organ transplants and organ donations.
- We are now averaging 50 flights per week and have flown over 3 million miles. We have 450 volunteer pilots, 80 non-pilot volunteers and have received over 4800 requests for flights.
- Our pilots donate their time, flying skills, fuel and planes. Our "Earth Angels" donate their time and cars to drive our patients to and from the hospital.
- Angel Flight has never refused anyone and is well known for the hope, compassion and respect that we provide to each and every one of our patients.
